A Little Light Can Change the World
One little light can change the whole wide world.
High above a quiet town lives a tiny golden star named Finley.
Finley’s light is warm and beautiful, but she wonders whether something so small can truly make a difference in the enormous world below.
With gentle encouragement from the moon, Finley gathers the tiniest sparkle from the edge of her glow and sends it sailing toward Earth. One sparkle becomes hope for people searching for answers to help babies and families. Another becomes comfort for a tired new mother. Another becomes courage, opportunity, kindness, and the confidence to follow a dream.
Every night, Finley asks:
“Where can my light shine today?”
Her sparkles travel into homes, schools, hospitals, neighborhoods, and hearts. Families help other families. Students encourage someone with a new dream. Neighbors care for one another. People continue searching for answers. Each person touched by kindness begins sharing a little light of their own.
Soon, one light becomes ten. Ten becomes fifty. Fifty becomes hundreds.
The whole town begins to shimmer.
Finley worries that she has been giving her light away—but she has not grown dimmer. Her light has only grown brighter.
The moon helps Finley understand that she was never losing her light. She was teaching it how to travel.

The Light Behind the Story
Finley’s Little Light was created in loving memory of Finley Grace, a deeply loved little girl whose time with her family was far too short.
The love Finley brought into the world did not end with her life. Her family created the Finley Grace Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to honor her memory by helping others and transforming unimaginable grief into hope.
Through the organization, Finley’s light continues to support babies, families, students, and communities through research initiatives, scholarships, resources for new mothers, and programs that help families access baby-monitoring technology.
Because a light shared with others never truly goes away.
